Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition which usually presents when pressure on a nerve in your wrist causes pain and numbness in your hand and fingers.

Common symptoms include tingling and numbness in the thumb, index and middle finger, with occasional thumb muscle wasting.

Non-invasive treatments using splints or steroid injections can be effective. If symptoms persist despite non-invasive treatment then carpal tunnel decompression can be explored - please see more information on our Procedures page.
