Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition which usually presents when pressure on a nerve in your wrist causes pain and numbness in your hand and fingers.

Common symptoms include:

  • Tingling and numbness in the thumb, index and middle finger
  • Occasional thumb muscle wasting
  • Pain that is worse at night or wakes your from your sleep

Non-invasive treatments using splints or steroid injections can be effective. If symptoms persist despite non-invasive treatment then carpal tunnel decompression can be explored.
